YOU ARE FABULOUS

So much to tell about Squam that I don't know where to start ... well ... let me jump right into telling you about the class I took on Thursday with sweetie-pies Christine Mason Miller and Marisa Haedike As soon as I walked into class, I was greeted by their lovely smiles and a most affirmative message:

The class was called "Book in a Day" where students had great fun exploring lots of different ways to construct and embellish books. Throughout the day, Christine and Marisa encouraged students not to fixate on perfection but to embrace the process of creating ...

Here are the two books I ended up making, which I love. As you can see, I took the message that Christine and Marisa gave me and incorporated it into one of my books.

And on the back of that same book, it was fun to have Christine add her mark to it for me.

The cabin in which we worked during class was in a most beautiful setting. Here's what it looked like from the outside. 

The quiet and peace of the surroundings were lovely and centering ... and inspired the backside of my smaller book:


Part of the magic of Squam is that there is an endless amount of quiet and stillness if you want it and need it. But there is also an endless amount of laughter, giggles, silliness and camaraderie with like-minded friends ... the kind I enjoyed with my fellow classmates. Such a fabulous time we all had.
