Guess I've been talking about it for some time ... how I wish, how I want, how I've fantasized about ... but how I don't really quite know how to art journal ... and after hearing my tunes about this for some time, my friend Michelle Ward finally gave me the nudge ...
By sending me a small craft paper journal that measures about 5"x6" ... much smaller than most, to reduce the intimidation factor. And to help me get started, Michelle started it all off for me by journaling a few spreads ...
Says this master art journaler: "it's time to start ... don't think — just begin ... just add color just add words just ... "
Says this dear friend of mine: "Always leave evidence that you were here."
Evidence documenting the highs and lows ... and that no matter the obstacles and challenges, each and every pie was held high in the air at all cost ... to make sure it got to the table for all to enjoy. No matter what. And shows how beautiful the rewards of hard work, courage, and a daring spirit can be ...
Also enclosed is a CD of tunes to get me in the mood ... and says this forever optimist, "C'mon Get Happy," and "I'm a Believer," and of course ... all together now: "HOW COOL IS THAT?"
And with unwavering support, says this maverick artist and generous soul, "Now it's your turn."
And reminds me that the size of this journal is perfect ...
It's the artistic nudge I've needed to just start. Just begin. "Begin" — my favorite word.
What an incredible nudge! The only thing bigger than Michelle's talent is her heart. Happy journaling!
PS LOVE your crocheted necklaces...I remember how totally cool Michelle looked in hers.

You're lucky to have such a good friend.
I'm glad I read something about her, cause I got worried there might be something wrong with her sister... she hasn't been blogging for about 2 weeks...
If she's been creating, I think everything is ok ! Her journal for you looks great : I don't think you can resist longer...
have fun !
greetings
