Is it just me or is there a mini-trend of embroidery going on in our community?
From Rebecca to Pam to Julie and Teresa and more, seems like everyone is embroidering these days! I think I caught the bug too ... actually, "re-caught" is more like it as I was super into embroidery (and yes, I will admit ... really into cross stitch) in high school and junior high! I also had a whole silk ribbon embroidery phase in my early 30s which we can talk about in a future post.
Anyway, this is what I've been up to lately ... stamping with Christine Adolph's beautiful stamps for Stampington & Company and StazOn inkpads by Tsukineko on muslin and then adding just a whisper of embroidery. Fun stuff. (I'll let you know which pub to tune into to see the final results of these particular projects.)
Oh My, Im completely lost in the Embroidering bug lately. Mine happens to be using old doilies, lace and embroidery. I am Loving every minute of it too! Jamie

yes, yes... lately I have been into hand stitching & embroidering little pieces of fabric to sew onto my bags & tees... Who would think of stamping then sewing over it... now I am in trouble.xoxoxoLaura

I caught or rather re-caught the embroidery bug a few months ago. It reminded me of my schooldays --we had an arts class that taught embroidery among other things. I find it very soothing...

What a nice idea. I've never really done anything with embroidery because it seemed a bit tedious for my spontanious nature. However, this I think I would love doing. I've always been drawn to the beauty of the floss. Thanks for sharing this sweet idea.

I agree with the others. I never thought of using a stamp for an embroidery pattern. Thanks for the idea.
