Check out this ADORABLE felted heart.
It was felted by Kristen Robinson who provided one to each student attending her Links of Love class at Gilding the Lily this past Sunday.
She demonstrated how to felt the heart with roving and needle felting tools so that we would know how to make more once we got home. After the demo, she taught us how to incorporate it with wire wrapping and beading techniques to finish a totally HOT bracelet.
Here's beautiful Kelly Bileaudeux donning her cute apron ...
Here's Carole Emens keeping it real ...
Here's Kristen (donning an AMAZING apron by Ruth Rae) with Cynthia Shaffer (with whom I carpooled) ...
Here's a close-up of a pocket on that apron by Ruth ... where she has free motion stitched a Jane Austen quote that says "Indulge your imagination in every possible flight." OMG. How awesome is that!?
And here we all are with our finished bracelets! Also in this photo is Alicia's hand, whose smiling face somehow eluded my camera during the afternoon.
What a great class. And what a great instructor. And what a great venue! (For those of you wanting to see more of the nooks and crannies of Gilding the Lily, you'll be able to do so in a future issue of Somerset Life so stay tuned.
The pleasure my friend was all mine. What a glorious and wonderful day we all had; thank you so very much for the joy you fill my heart with!
Fondly-
Kristen
