You may remember my showing you the very cool alterable camera bag by Donna Downey here. Well, check out the bag that I ended up altering. So cute, don't you think?
I used fabric paint by Jacquard to make the red polka dots and then outlined the circles with fine-point permanent marker. I then used a wash cloth and iron on very hot setting to heat-set the paint.
For the front, I applied spray adhesive (Krylon) to the back of an ART SAVES panel and then placed it to the front panel. To reinforce the panel, I took metallic embroidery thread an ran a straight stitch on all the sides.
I'll be actually sending this bag back to Donna so that it can be part of a very special silent auction that she is coordinating. (Oh I do hope that the bag finds a loving home.)
If you don't end up winning this one I altered, you could pick a blank one up here and alter it yourself!
Happy crafting. :)
Pretty cool Jenny!!

I love the polka dots, too. I think polka dots are both vintage looking and also very modern...I guess timeless!

I love it, and it is inspiring to do something fun with my very boring, plain blue camera bag!!

Oh Jenny! It's gorgeous! I was just checking out the one CHeryl Darrow has on TENSeconds Studio's blog - it's very cool to see all the different artist's interpretations. I would so love to win this one!
