I love washi tape, don't you? They aren't just to adhere things. In my opinion, they are distinctive and fun design elements. Check out these cute little tags I made.
Take several colors of washi tape and adhere them onto a piece of paper. (Make one or two of the tapes patterned and the others solid.) I used cold press watercolor paper. Leave a small strip of paper exposed so that it has no washi tape on that small strip. Can you see my exposed strip? It's between the green tape and the patterned tape.
Punch the paper with a tag-shaped paper punch.
Write a sentiment on the small strip of exposed paper, using a fine-point marker. Punch a small hole at the top, thread a piece of string through the hole, and hang the tag onto your gift.
Make a whole batch of pretty washi tags and other shapes to give as gifts.
